Description
A quick, 5-minute frozen cocktail that combines tequila, apple cider, and caramel syrup for a sweet, tart, and icy cold autumn drink. It is simple to make, budget-friendly, and crowd-pleasing.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 cups (360ml) Blanco Tequila
- 2 cups (480ml) Apple Cider (cloudy, unfiltered)
- 1 cup (240ml) Caramel Syrup (thinned with water if necessary)
- 0.5 cup (120ml) Fresh Lime Juice
- 4 cups (1kg) Ice
- Coarse sea salt or turbinado sugar for rimming (optional)
- Apple slices for garnish
Instructions
- Rim wide-rimmed glasses by running a lime wedge around the edge and dipping into salt or sugar. Set aside.
- Combine tequila, apple cider, lime juice, and caramel syrup in a high-speed blender.
- Add 4 cups of ice to the blender.
- Pulse briefly to break up ice, then blend on high until the mixture is smooth and slushy.
- Taste and adjust: add more lime juice if too sweet, or more caramel if too tart.
- Pour into prepared glasses and garnish with thin apple slices.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
Use fresh lime juice for best flavor. If caramel sauce is cold, warm it slightly in the microwave to ensure it blends smoothly. For a non-alcoholic version, substitute tequila with extra apple cider. To keep the drink cold without dilution, chill glasses in the freezer beforehand or freeze apple cider into cubes.
