Creamy Maple Pumpkin Milkshake

  • Author: Emma
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

A rich, velvety milkshake made with just five simple ingredients: vanilla ice cream, pumpkin puree, heavy cream, maple syrup, and warm spices. It captures the cozy essence of autumn in a glass.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups vanilla ice cream (premium, full-fat)
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree (100% pure, not pie filling)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 34 tablespoons real maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 cup ice (optional, for extra thickness)
  • Pinch of sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. If the ice cream is rock hard, let it sit on the counter for 5-10 minutes to soften slightly for easier blending.
  2. Scoop 4 cups of vanilla ice cream into a blender.
  3. Add 1 cup of pumpkin puree and 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice to the blender. Add a pinch of salt if using.
  4. Drizzle in 3 tablespoons of maple syrup and pour in 1/2 cup of heavy cream.
  5. Add ice cubes if desired and if your blender is not high-powered.
  6. Blend on low speed initially to prevent splashing, then gradually increase to medium-high. Blend for 30-45 seconds until smooth.
  7. Stop the blender and scrape down the sides with a spatula to ensure even blending.
  8. Taste the shake and adjust sweetness or spice levels as needed.
  9. Pour immediately into chilled glasses.
  10. Top with whipped cream, a drizzle of maple syrup, and a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Do not use pumpkin pie filling; use plain 100% pure pumpkin puree. For best texture, serve immediately as the shake may separate if left to sit. Chill glasses in the freezer for 15 minutes before serving for a colder drink. If the shake is too thick, add more milk or cream; if too thin, add more ice cream or ice.
